EVERY HUMAN IS A COUNTRY - SCREENING AT THIRD SPACE GALLERY IN HELSINKI - OPEN CALL - DEADLINE 11TH OF JANUARY 23:59



I´m organizing screening happening at Third Space gallery in Helsinki during my exhibition there in February 2017 (the screening will happen before 15th of February). The theme will be "Every human is a country" and you can approach it in any way. Ways to approach could be for example own experience, everyday life, inside-outside, globalization, social dynamics, otherness, racism, war, authority, sport, competition etc. Work should be video or some other work which is possible to project on canvas. Or it could be also a sound piece or a performance (including poetry and music). The gallery is small, 13,5m2. You can propose your work however you wish. One good way would be to upload your work or part of it (whole work is better) to Vimeo or Youtube and include the link (and password if needed) in an application text that somehow verbalizes your work. The text can be written in a pdf-file (maximum size of the file attachment is 10MB) and sent to my e-mail: sakusoukka@hotmail.com or you can just write everything in the body of your e-mail. Write in the subject/title field: "Every human is a country". Deadline is 11th of January 23:59. I´m not able to pay anything. Free.

Järjestän screening-tapahtuman Third Space -galleriassa näyttelyni yhteydessä helmikuussa 2017 (screening tapahtuu ennen 15.2.). Teema on "Jokainen ihminen on maa" ja voit lähestyä sitä miten tahansa. Reittejä lähestyä voisi olla esimerkiksi oma kokemus, sisätila-ulkotila, globalisaatio, sosiaaliset dynamiikat, toiseus, rasismi, sota, vallankäyttö, urheilu, kilpailu jne. Teoksen tulisi olla video tai joku muu projisoitava teos. Lisäksi se voisi olla myös ääniteos tai performanssi (mukaanlukien runous ja musiikki). Galleria on pieni, 13,5m2. Voit esitellä teoksesi minulle miten haluat. Yksi hyvä tapa tehdä se on ladata videotiedosto Vimeoon tai Youtubeen ja kirjoittaa linkki hakemustekstiisi (sekä salasana tarvittaessa). Teksti voisi jollain tavalla sanallistaa teostasi. Lähetä ehdotuksesi pdf-tiedostona (maximi koko liitetiedostolle 10Mt) sähköpostiini sakusoukka@hotmail.com tai kirjoita kaikki e-mailin viestikenttään.
